Deposit Policy

Appointment Cancellation and No-Show Policy

At OC Veterinary Medical Center, we understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans change. We strive to provide the best possible care for all our animal patients, which requires careful scheduling and preparation. To ensure we can serve all pets in need effectively, we kindly ask that you respect our appointment cancellation and no-show policy:

Cancellation or Rescheduling

We respectfully request that you provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to another pet in need of care.

No-Show & Late Cancellation Policy

We understand that occasional emergencies may prevent you from notifying us about a missed appointment. However, repeated no-shows and last-minute cancellations impact our ability to care for other animals and maintain efficient operations.

– First Occurrence: We will issue a friendly reminder about our policy and the importance of communication.

– Subsequent Occurrences: A deposit of $79 (equivalent to our exam fee) will be required to hold future appointments.

Appointment Deposits

– The $79 deposit is fully applied to your visit when you attend your scheduled appointment.

– If you provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling, your deposit will be refunded or applied to your rescheduled appointment.

– In the case of a no-show or late cancellation (less than 24 hours’ notice), the deposit will be retained to cover the cost of the missed appointment slot.

When appointments are missed without notice, it not only affects our practice but also prevents other pets from receiving timely care. By adhering to this policy, you help us:

1. Provide prompt medical attention to all our animal patients

2. Maintain shorter wait times for appointments
