I had a wonderful morning and Crescent Elementary School this morning. I was invited to participate in career day. I saw about 180 kids who are interested in veterinary medicine. I was ably assisted by Sushi, an adorable 6 month old calico kitten with only 3 legs. She was rescued by Caring Friends Cat Rescue. And she was quite a trooper, allowing her self to be pet by all of the kids with little complaint.
I had 5 classes and discussed how wonderful it is to be a veterinarian, all of the different types of jobs veterinarians can do, and what’s required to become a veterinarian. I think we have some budding veterinary oceanographers and veterinary astronauts out there.
It was wonderful seeing all of those kids and I am very grateful for the Crescent Elementary PTA for inviting me to attend. I can’t wait until next year.
