Look dog, no means no!

It doesn’t take but a moment to realize that dogs need training. After all, dogs are curious and playful creatures. Even Orange County pups need behavior training. If you are wondering what kinds of methods to use try discussing options with your veterinarian.

First identify the behavior problems. Then see if you can identify the cause of the problems. For many dogs separation anxiety is the cause of the behavior problems.

Some common behavior problems include barking, biting, and digging. This is usually because communication difficulties. Your dog is unsure exactly what is expected by you.

It is important to set boundaries, and to be consistent and simple about your expectations. Make sure that your dog understands that you are the leader. Be sure to reward acceptable behavior every time. Also be clear about unacceptable behavior every time.

Make sure that you do not accidentally reward the bad behaviors. An example of this would be calling your dog inside when they have been barking a lot outside.
